Tony Dayton is an Operations Analyst by profession at one of the country's largest banking institutions. Tony also spends his time serving his country as a reservist in the United States Navy and has completed two tours of duty; one in Kuwait in 2006, the other in Iraq in 2009. Tony holds a Bachelor's degree in English/writing from Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vt. as well as a Masters Degree from the University of Phoenix, at the Charlotte, NC campus.

While at Lyndon State, Tony spent three years writing for the school newspaper, two of which he served as sports editor. He published his first story during his sophomore year in the Lyndon Review, where he would later become fiction editor. While in college, Tony published stories in the Visitor's Guide to the Northeast Kingdom, a once popular Vermont travel magazine.

After graduation, Tony took a job as a sports columnist at a small Vermont newspaper where he worked for two years before moving to Myrtle Beach and taking up photography. After spending two years in Myrtle Beach, he moved to Charlotte, NC where soon after, he joined the Naval Reserves. While in the reserves, Tony continued to hone his writing skills as he wrote articles for military publications as well as hometown news releases.

Tony has also volunteered for The Humane Society of Charlotte and Habitats for Humanity and will hopefully soon be a contributing writer for Skybrook Magazine in Charlotte, NC. He and his wire Jody have recently expanded their family with the birth of his surrogate son, Noah. Tony enjoys spending quality time at home with his wife, new son, and three dogs as well as reading, writing, and traveling. Oh yeah, he loves being in the military!

Suite101 will be Tony's first experience in online publication.
